Catherine Anderson

I am a qualified integrative therapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), who uses a number of counselling modalities to best meet the client’s needs. I specialise in all substance and behavioural addictions, working not only with addicts, but also family members struggling with the addict. I have a great understanding of 12 step recovery programs. Other areas I work with are; sex, intimacy, relationships, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, ADHD, autism, anger, and bereavement. I work with LBGTQIA and BDS/SM communities also.

I am a volunteer counsellor at two charities where I work with individuals & co-facilitate groups. I also work for a third charity as Victim Care Coordinator, as well as having a private counselling practice. During this time I have gained experience working with a diverse range of clients on several issues including; addiction, rape, sexual abuse, anxiety, bereavement, trauma, co-dependency, hoarding, depression, relationships, sex and intimacy, to name a few.
